Cranbourne-based cheerleading and dance school, South Eastern Allstars, celebrated their 25th birthday last month.
On June 22 the school celebrated with a three course dinner for 180 guests, including past and present students and their families, at Amberlee Receptions.
Narelle Gillies, Principal of South Eastern Allstars, said a lot of past students attended including some of the first students that started in 1995.
“We had slides going all night with photos and footage of students over the past 25 years. It was nice to look down memory lane and see how they’ve grown into adults,” Narelle said.
The current dance students presented a cabaret floor show to the audience, and also created a surprise video that was presented to Narelle on the night.
“It made me a bit teary. It was beautiful. Sometime’s you think you don’t make a difference in people’s lives and then you see that, it’s great to see,” Narelle said.
Narelle said the majority of the students she has taught over the 25 years agree she gave them their love for 80s music.
“We all danced the night away after we cut the cake. It was a beautiful night and quite humbling, actually”.
