Heartless thieves steal car with dog inside

Police are hoping to reunite a dog with its owner after it was taken during a theft in Blind Bight.

It is understood the victim, an 85-year-old man, had parked his car outside a milk bar on Anchorage Drive about 8.30am on Saturday 22nd June 2019.

When he went back out, he noticed his Suzuki SUV had been stolen.

His nine-year-old beagle Millie had been inside the car at the time.

The vehicle was located on June 24 on Warrigal Road, Bentleigh.

A 38 year-old woman from Hampton East was arrested in Bayside and is expected to be charged on summons with Theft Of Motor Vehicle.

Sadly, Millie’s whereabouts are still unknown.

Anyone with information or who sees Millie is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
