Family hospitalised by unknown substance

A Cranbourne West family was taken to hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning after apparently being affected by an unknown substance.

Police and emergency services were called to a house in Merribah Way, Cranbourne West about 2am on May 26, responding to reports that two adults and four children had been affected.

All six people were transported to hospital in a stable condition for observation.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said in a statement the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be established and the investigation remains ongoing.
