Local groups have the opportunity to house an impressive painting commemorating the Great War.
The paintings, which mark the Armistice Centenary, were displayed at the Holt Armistice 100 year Fine Art Exhibition at the Narre Warren Mechanics Institute Hall, Casey Central Shopping Centre, and Cranbourne RSL late last year.
Provenance Artists Inc was awarded $28,210 the under the Armistice Centenary Grant Program, to commission over 20 local artists to paint the commemorative paintings for the exhibitions.
Federal Holt MP Anthony Byrne is now offering an exciting opportunity for local community groups, sporting organisations, faith based institutions, and local schools to house for perpetuity one of the brilliant Armistice Centenary Commemorative paintings.
“I wish to congratulate Mr Calvin Bell and all the members from Provenance Artists Inc for organising the Holt Centenary of Armistice Fine Art Show that showcased the finest art from local leading artists,” Mr Byrne said.
“Given the value of the collection I am offering local organisations the opportunity to house one of these beautiful paintings by one of the brilliant artists in their facility.”
A Holt Armistice Centenary Painting Committee will announce the awardees in the lead up to ANZAC Day.
Organisations interested in applying may contact Mr Byrne’s office on 9796 7533.
