Grants now open

Applications are now open for funding through the City of Casey’s annual Minor Capital Works at Community Facilities Program.

Community groups can apply for the grants through the 2019/20 program, to make improvements at local community facilities that will benefit current and future users.

Grants of up to $50,000 per project are available for eligible groups, across a maximum of three projects, or $75,000 in total.

City of Casey Mayor Cr Amanda Stapledon said the grants are a fantastic opportunity for local groups to access the funds they need to make much needed upgrades.

“These grants will enable local clubs and user groups to focus on delivering opportunities and experiences to the community, rather than funding repairs.

“It is so important that we support our community groups to maintain high quality and accessible facilities that encourage participation and inclusion,” said Cr Stapledon.

Projects may range from minor amenity improvements to landscaping, security upgrades, installation of access ramps and court resurfacing, among others.

Applications can be made online and close on Friday 15 March 2019.
