Police have arrested a 29-year-old Cranbourne West man following a short pursuit on Tuesday 5 February.
Police were searching for the man in relation to multiple offences which occurred last week.
He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Witnesses described on Facebook’s Casey Crime Page of “a psycho was just fanging it down the wrong side” of the Western Port Highway in a red car.
Another said “My heart was in my throat!!”
Lyn Wright spoke of how a “car was chased round Circle Dr, nearly wiping out another car trying to get to Camms Rd,” while another said unmarked police cars “flew by me” on Narre Warren Cranbourne Road about 12pm.
“It was a red Holden Cruze a few hours ago I went past Cranbourne East School doing over 100km/h with cops chasing!! Good to see they were caught,” Rick Tully posted.
