Cameras catch petrol drive-off

A man allegedly drove off without paying for fuel in Cranbourne North.

Cranbourne police hope CCTV images will identify a man allegedly involved in a petrol drive off in Cranbourne North on Tuesday 15 January.

Police allege a silver Holden Commodore bearing stolen registration plates attended the Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road service station about 4.20am.

It’s believed the man filled up his car with fuel at BP service station and drove off without making an attempt to pay.

The male driver is described as Caucasian, dark hair and was wearing a black knee brace on his right knee.

Police have released CCTV still images of a male who they believe can assist with their investigation.
