Learner driver’s car impounded

An unaccompanied learner driver has been caught behind the wheel in Cranbourne West on Wednesday 2 January and now faces multiple charges.

Casey Highway Patrol intercepted a Hyundai Accent Coupe on Monaghans Road where they discovered a 24 year old female driver from Cranbourne West allegedly had a suspended learner’s permit.

Police also observed the driver had not displayed L plates or carried her learner’s permit.

Her vehicle was impounded and she will be required to attend court in relation to the charges.

It is an offence for a learner driver, probationary driver or driver under 26 years of age to not carry their licence while driving.
