$1.3m funding win

Students at Hillcrest Christian College in Clyde North will benefit from a new multipurpose hall thanks to a Federal Government Grant.

Member for Latrobe Jason Wood announced on Monday 10 December the Australian Government would provide more than $1.3 million towards the project at Hillcrest Christian College through the Capital Grants Program.

“Students and teachers thrive when their schools have modern and up-to-date facilities – that’s why the Federal Government is proud of the Capital Grants Program, which has benefited thousands of schools across the nation,” Mr Wood said.

“The Government has committed $660 million until 2021, which provides funding for non-government schools to improve capital infrastructure.

“These upgrades will help advance Hillcrest Christian College and ensure our classrooms have modern facilities.

“I congratulate Hillcrest Christian College for their successful grant and look forward to seeing the impact these improvements will have in our community.”
