It was a trip down memory lane for motoring enthusiasts as classic cars graced the roads of Tooradin on Friday 30 November.
Featuring the world’s most admirable cars produced in the years between 1907 and 1976, the Targa Florio Australian Tribute attracted people of all ages as cars drove through Tooradin Foreshore Reserve at regulated speed.
It’s the second birthday of the Australian event and the only event sanctioned to run as a ‘Targa Florio’ name outside Italy in the Targa Florio’s with its 103-year history.
“Our love of sport and fast cars, coupled with our beautiful scenery and large Italian community, makes us the perfect host for such an occasion,” said Minister for Tourism and Major Events John Eren.
All cars, which also featured Ferraris post-1977, competed over four days on Victoria’s open roads at regulated speed in 56 trials from November 28.
