Police are investigating a number of attempted thefts from motor vehicles in Cranbourne on Monday 26 November.
Police allege the victim heard their dogs barking at their Averne Street address about 3.30am where they looked outside to see an unknown man attempting to open the car doors of vehicles parked in the driveway.
The victim confronted the man who then left on foot, walking west into parkland. Police were called and patrolled the area but were unable to locate the man.
Police have released CCTV still images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
