A 22-year-old Cranbourne man has been arrested following an alleged non-fatal shooting in Cranbourne East on Wednesday 14 November.

Armed Crime Squad detectives arrested the man at an address in Pumphouse Crescent, Clyde. He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

The shooting allegedly occurred at Elmslie Drive at 6am.

A 26-year-old man, who suffered lower body injuries, was taken to the Alfred Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and was in a stable condition.

A neighbour said there was sometimes fighting between two of men at the house, who looked like tradies aged between 25 and 35.

The investigation is ongoing.

Investigators believe the parties are known to each other.
