Casey Highway Patrol officers caught two unlicensed drivers within an hour and impounded their vehicles in Cranbourne on Monday 19 November.
Police observed a Hyundai sedan without headlights, travelling along the South Gippsland Highway just after 11pm.
The vehicle was intercepted and police discovered a 17-year-old Cranbourne East girl was driving unlicensed.
Her car was immediately impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1042.40.
She is expected to be charged on summons with unlicensed driving and failing to display headlights.
An hour later, a Holden Commodore station wagon was detected travelling at 80km in a 60km zone on Narre Warren Cranbourne Road.
Police intercepted the vehicle just after midnight and spoke to the male driver who was also unlicensed.
A 43-year-old Cranbourne man had his car immediately impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1005.40
He is expected to be charged on summons with unlicensed driving and exceed speed.
