Let’s get the job done – matter of fact

Ravichandran Ragupathy has promised to “get the job done” as he runs as an independent candidate for the Cranbourne electorate heading into the state election on Saturday 24 November.

As an Indian migrant, Mr Ragupathy says he’s seen and experienced the hardship of communities with a modest income, especially for those living in Cranbourne, despite economic prosperity Victoria has experienced last two decades.

His plan is to provide a strong advocacy to increase funding for transport infrastructure to support both road and railway extension projects, support to parking infrastructure and space, and reducing crime rates.

“Cranbourne is one of the fastest growing district with 7,000 population increase every year but the state has failed to provide community a safe and secured future from ever increasing crime,” he said.

Mr Ragupathy’s said he would improve community safety from home burglaries, create new job opportunities, improve transport infrastructure, provide quality education and strengthen the diversity and multiculturalism to create a better community.

“I stand as an independent candidate to address some of the above challenges and will work and pressure any government for the betterment of our Cranbourne community safety and secured future.”

Mr Ragupathy’s policies for Cranbourne also include:

• Address hidden cost of living and support young migrant families.

• Support local businesses to create new job opportunities and protect on going jobs.

• Build Multicultural Precinct and Multicultural Park to serve as hub for community events and activities, to promote tourism and benefit local economy.

• Setting up an Indian precinct working with IPSG – Indian Precinct Strategy Group and Victorian and Federal Government to get additional funding.

• To make Victoria Toll free state, by raising the voice to reduce and ultimately closure of Citylink and east link toll charges.

• Decent NBN Network expansion

• Increased funding for schools, sports and public parks facilities
