Drought aid raises $3K

The community has dug deep during a trivia night held in Cranbourne East – helping raise $3,000 for drought-stricken farmers in the East Gippsland area.

Nearly a hundred people gathered at Balla Balla Community Centre on Saturday 10 November to raise the money which will go towards making Christmas a little easier for the families and children of farmers struggling on the land.

“A great night had by all with lots of fun and laughter,” organiser Maree Cullinan said.

The night featured 10 rounds of trivia, with table teasers, games, raffles and auction items.
