Candidates in the race

A final field of candidates has been unveiled for the seat of Cranbourne as the state election looms on Saturday 24 November.

Nine candidates are standing for Cranbourne after nominations closed with the Victorian Electoral Commission on Thursday 8 November which includes:

• Independents Susan Jakobi, Ravi Ragupathy and Norman Fosberry

• Transport Matters – Singh Tarlockan

• Derryn Hinch’s Justice Party – Jason Soultanidis

• Liberal Party – Ann-Marie Hermans

• ALP – Pauline Richards

• Australian Greens – Jake Tilton

• Labour DLP – Edward Sok

Retiring Labor MP is Jude Perera has represented the Cranbourne seat since 2002.

The seat includes the suburbs of Cranbourne, Cranbourne East, Cranbourne West, Botanic Ridge, Junction Village, Cranbourne North and parts of Lynbrook, Lyndhurst, Clyde North, Clyde and Devon Meadows.

Four candidates will also stand for the seat of Hastings which is currently held by Liberal Member Neale Burgess.

The seat covers Bittern, Blind Bight, Cannons Creek, Crib Point, French Island, Hastings, HMAS Cerberus, Langwarrin, Langwarrin South, Pearcedale, Somerville, Tooradin, Tyabb and Warneet. Also parts of Baxter, Clyde, Cranbourne South, Devon Meadows, Frankston North and Moorooduc.

Vying for the electorate is Nathan Lesslie (Australia Greens), Georgia Knight (Animal Justice Party), and Simon Meyer (Australian Labor Party).
