With Natalie Young, horse trainer at Cranbourne Racecourse
What inspired you to become a horse trainer and what does your daily routine look like? My Mum used to train a few race horses when I was younger and so I learned to ride. From there, I started riding track work for local trainers. The daily routine for any horse trainer starts before the sun rises. Trent and I are at the stables at 4am six days a week to work our stable of 69 horses. We have a staff of 25 to ensure things run smoothly in the morning. It is very important when you are also preparing for races the same day.
