St Peter’s College, East Cranbourne Campus is set for a multi-million upgrade if the Liberals win the state election this month.

The $5.5 million makeover will include the construction of a Performing Arts Centre including a theatrette, general learning areas, specialist facilities and associated areas.

The announcement follows the Liberal Nationals commitment of $400 million for capital upgrades for non-government schools.

The Coalition say they support a strong public and private education system because “we believe in giving parent’s choice and children the best opportunities.”

Shadow Minister for Education Tim Smith said the Liberals want to work with non-government schools to give all Victorian families choice in education.

“Only the Liberal Nationals have a plan to get back in control of the population squeeze and give parent’s the choice and children the best opportunities in their education,” he said.

Liberal candidate for Cranbourne Ann-Marie Hermans said students would benefit greatly from modern and contemporary facilities.

“St Peter’s College is a wonderful school and this upgrade will not only help students achieve great educational outcomes but will also be a fantastic facility for the local community,” she said.
