Labor pledges new ambulance station

A new Clyde North ambulance station will be built if the State Government is re-elected this month.

As part of a $25 million package for new and upgraded stations, Labor says boosting care for families was essential for the growing community of Clyde.

Labor will work with the local community to determine a location for the station if it wins government.

“We know that Clyde North needs its own ambulance station which is what they’ll get under a re-elected Andrews Labor Government,” said a Labor Party spokesman.

“We are investing in our ambulance services, to improve response times, to better support paramedics, and ensure Victorian families receive the emergency treatment they need quicker.

“The Liberals went to war with our paramedics – making Victorians wait longer than ever for an ambulance – we ended that crisis,” he added.

Labor will also work closely with Ambulance Victoria to make sure the new station has all the tools and resources needed to help the local community.
