Safety message after gas leak

CFA have issued a safety alert for Clyde North, Cranbourne East, and Cranbourne North following a hazardous gas leak at Thompsons Road due to a broken gas pipe main on Monday 22 October.

The alert, issued at 4.38pm advises residents to keep the roads clear so emergency services can respond and avoid the area between Narre Warren Road and Berwick-Cranbourne Road.

Residents in the area can close windows and shut doors to avoid gas smell.

“There is currently no threat to the community, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions,” the alert said.

The next update is expected by 23/10/2018 11:00 am or as the situation changes.
