25 years of success

Casey Grammar in Cranbourne East has celebrated a quarter-of-a-century since opening its doors.

Past and present staff, students, founding members and community members gathered to celebrate and reflect on the 25 years since the opening of the school during a founders’ assembly held on Friday 12 October.

Principal Richard Baird said it was a momentous occasion to celebrate the milestone.

“I have learned so much about Casey Grammar’s journey, including all the inspirational people involved in establishing the school, many of whom attended today’s assembly,” he said.

“Twenty-five years on, Casey Grammar School continues to flourish as a co-educational learning community exceeding 850 students with a team of over 110 highly committed staff.

“The commitment of past and present staff as well as volunteers has ensured a holistic approach to schooling, anchored by an understanding of the Christian faith and a strong, supportive Pastoral Care program,” Mr Baird added.

Mr Baird thanked all founders, guarantors, board and council members, former principals, the parents and friends’ committee members, staff past and present, alumni, parents, and students for all of their work over the past 25 years.

“Today we had the opportunity to recognise the outstanding contribution that members of our community have made in order to ensure our school’s success,” he said.

He the guest speakers provided their vision, sacrifice and the time they gave and continue to give in order to make Casey Grammar School such a special place.

“They invested time to give others opportunities, offering hope for others to succeed in life, and it is because of their vision that we are here together today.”
