 GovHack

GovHack is a huge international event that bring people together to innovate, collaborate and apply their creative skills to open government data. It is run in a number of different locations across Australia and New Zealand. The City of Casey is one of them! The event will gather creative people, entrepreneurs, government and industry personnel to collaborate over this exciting weekend, working with government data to invent and create.

Food and drinks will be provided throughout the weekend.

• Friday, 7 September from 6pm – 10pm, Saturday, 8 September from 8am to 8pm and Sunday, 9 September 8am – 6pm at 30-52 Vesper Drive, Narre Warren.

Garden explorer

Take a seat and enjoy the live commentary as you wind your way around the 15-hectare Australian Garden in open-air comfort. Purchase a daily pass and hop on and off as you please.

• Saturday, 9 September from 10am to 4pm at corner of Ballarto Road and Batanic Drive, Cranbourne.

Cranbourne Historical Society 50th anniversary

Come and join us for a lunch and look around our Historic Cottage. Official unveiling of the commemorative stone by the Mayor and Councillors, MP’s and dignitaries.

• Sunday, 9 September from 10am to 4pm at Tooradin Fisherman’s Cottage Museum, 13 Mickle Street, Tooradin.

Cook it with dad

The Cook it with Dad program is an opportunity for fathers and children to experience cooking together.

Held every Saturday at the Selandra Family and Children’s Centre (excluding Public Holidays and School Holidays).

– Dads and children spending quality time and strengthening relationships

– Families learning and eating healthy meals

– Children learning life time skills and building confidence

– Meet other dads

• Saturday, September 8 from 10.30am to 12pm at Selandra Family and Children’s Centre, 45 Haflinger Avenue, Clyde North.
