Winter Arts Festival Closing Party

Come and celebrate the magnificence of 2018 Winter Arts Festival. With so many fabulous events over the three months it is near impossible to get to them all. The Winter Arts Festival Closing Party will showcase snippets from the array of performances across the Festival ranging from DJs, live music, theatre, spoken word and dance.

Melbourne Mancave

Looking for something different to do with dad this Father’s Day?

Melbourne Mancave brings together everything a modern man cave needs from tools to memorabilia. Whether your hobbies are cars, boats, motorbikes or fishing golf or collectables, there will be something to capture your interest. Set amongst the green’s of the Cranbourne Turf Club and stunning car displays, the tunes from the live bands along with amazing food and drinks will certainly provide a great day out.

• Sunday 2 September from 10am to 6pm at Grant Street, Cranbourne 3977.

Bunjil Place Library Art Space

Sheila Daniells creates incredible scratchboard artwork capturing her love of animals. These amazing artworks and their precise level of detail have to be seen to be believed.

Jenny Conn creates delightful functional and sculptural ceramic pieces. Her unique jewellery is made from clay in combination with precious gems, silver, pearls and glass beads.

The Bunjil Place Library is open 9am to 9pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Cranbourne Library Art Space

Madhumita Satpathi’s paintings feature scenes from daily life in realistic as well as abstract form. She compels the viewer to look again and consider a different aspect beyond what is visible. Please note the exhibition can only be viewed during library hours.

• Saturday 1 September from 9am to 5pm at Cranbourne Library, 65 Berwick Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne 3977.

Garden explorer

Take a seat and enjoy the live commentary as you wind your way around the 15 hectare Australian Garden in open-air comfort. Purchase a daily pass and hop on and off as you please.

• Saturday September 1 from 10am to 4pm at the corner of Ballarto Road and Botanic Drive, Cranbourne 3977.

Dads Matter Program

The Cook it with Dad program is an opportunity for fathers and children to experience cooking together.

Held every Saturday at the Selandra Family and Children’s Centre (excluding Public Holidays and School Holidays).

Dads and children spending quality time and strengthening relationships, families learning and eating healthy meals, children learning life time skills and building confidence and meet other dads
