Wrong-way driver caught

Police have caught a hoon driving on the wrong side of a road in Lyndhurst on Thursday 9 August.

Police attempted to intercept the driver after detecting a Holden Commodore travelling at 75km/h on Glasscocks Road about 7.15am.

It’s alleged the driver then drove the car on the wrong side of the road before travelling in the incorrect direction over a roundabout in an attempt to evade police.

Police intercepted the driver, a 25 year-old male from Springvale, a short time later and his vehicle was then impounded under the hoon legislation.

He expected to be charged on summons.
