Final bargain book sale

The Friends of Cranbourne Libraries Inc will hold its final book sale after 26 years. Books priced from 50 cents to $5.

• Saturday 11 August, from 8.30am – 2pm at the Cranbourne Library. 65 Berwick Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne. Enquiries: Helen Cargo Ph. 5998 2333.

Narre Warren & District Family History Group Inc. Annual General Meeting

Guest Speaker will be Angela Henricksen, sales and customer service manager from Archival Survival Melbourne. Angela has extensive knowledge and experience to give advice on general preservation issues and storage products suitable for a wide variety of records and other objects. If you have ever wonder how to preserve you documents, or other precious family heirlooms come along and listen to Angela.

• Saturday 11 of August, 2pm at the Casey Complex, 1/65 Berwick Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne. Please use Casey Radio entrance. Afternoon tea will be served afterwards, then the AGM will begin. Janet Matthews Studio

Janet Matthews opens her studio to the community, so they can experience Janet and her students as they demonstrate their drawing techniques as well as chatting about their work. You can view an exhibition of her own and her student’s artworks. Janet is well known for her pencil drawings of animals and birds. Her students create a wide range of different subjects in pencil.

• Saturday 11 August from 10am – 4pm at 6 Tom Gearon Court, Narre Warren North. Free entry.

Sam Michelle Studio

Sam is an oil painter who has recently relocated to beautiful Blind Bight and focuses on still life and gurative works. See Sam’s works in progress and have a sneak peek at her 2018 Winter/Spring artworks to be soon released. Sam is encouraging artists and art lovers to come by for a chat.

• Saturday 11 August – Sunday 12 August from 10am – 4pm at 2 Gull Court, Blind Bight. Free entry.
