More than 50 aspiring authors had plenty to sink their teeth into during a writer’s workshop held at Bunjil Place on Saturday 28 July.
The free ‘Getting Published’ workshop featured author Chris Morgan who moderated a panel of authors, including Mark Johnson, Rita Hartney, Sarah Vincent and Wida Tausif who were on hand to discuss writing techniques and how to get stories published.
Casey councillor Damien Rosario, who was MC for the event, said he was a big supporter of emerging authors in the community.
“We knew that there was interest for this type of event in our community but the participant attendance well exceeded our expectations. To know that so many people aspire to tell their story is truly wonderful to see,” he said.
He said the workshop was a great opportunity in providing participants the knowledge in how to get their literary works published.
