Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Dur Bidong.
The 24-year-old is wanted on warrant for robbery.
Bidong is described as of African appearance and about 200cm tall with a thin build, shoulder-length black dreadlocks and brown eyes.
He is known to frequent the Dandenong and Cranbourne areas, as well as public transport hubs.
Investigators have released an image of Bidong in the hope someone recognises him or has information regarding his current whereabouts.
