Learner driver faces court

A learner driver has been caught allegedly behind the wheel in Cranbourne with illicit drugs in their system on Wednesday 4 July.

Casey Highway Patrol intercepted the Holden Commodore sedan on Duff Street at about 11.30am.

The driver, a 27 year-old male from Cranbourne West allegedly did not have a qualified driver accompanying him and tested positive to drugs after undergoing an oral fluid test.

Police seized the keys to the vehicle and the man will face court with charges of drug driver, learner driver unaccompanied and fail to display L plates.
