Residents got a chance to pull up a chair and talk with police over a cuppa last week to discuss community issues.

Police officers from Cranbourne Casey Proactive Policing Unit hosted Coffee with a Cop which was held at Cranbourne Park Shopping Centre on Wednesday 27 June.

Leading Senior Constable Dave Smith of Casey Proactive Policing Unit said the event was supported by the main shopping centres by providing free coffee and encouraging community members to approach police in a relaxed atmosphere.

“The police members distributed crime prevention advice in relation to keeping your home and vehicle safe and took questions including what crimes were committed locally and reporting noisy parties,” he said

“We encourage people to like the Eyewatch Casey page on Facebook to keep up to date with what is happening in their area including the next Coffee with a Cop.”
