Pair accused of bus driver bashing

A Cranbourne East man and woman are expected to be charged over allegedly assaulting a bus driver in Cranbourne in January.

Police say the 40-year-old female driver was assaulted at a stop on Cranbourne-Frankston Road on Thursday, 25 January after telling a young boy that he couldn’t come on board the bus with his bike.

A man and woman then got on the bus and allegedly assaulted her.

She received minor injuries, police say.

A 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were interviewed by police.

They are expected to be charged on summons with assault and recklessly causing injury.
