Disqualified learner hits trouble

A disqualified learner driver has been nabbed using false registration plates in Clyde North on Monday 23 April.

Police pulled over the man about 5pm after the driver’s Holden Commodore station wagon’s number plates “proved to be an interesting read.”

Police say the 43-year-old man from Pakenham had a disqualified learner’s permit since 2016.

His car was impounded for 30 days and is expected to be charged on summons with driving while being a disqualified learner, using an unregistered motor vehicle and using false registration plates.
