More than a month after “stray bullets” nearly struck workers during an ambush shooting at a Hampton Park tattoo parlour, police have released CCTV.
It’s alleged a stolen silver Audi pulled up outside a tattoo parlour on Fordholm Road about 1.15pm on 22 February.
The driver remained within the vehicle as two men, armed with firearms, exited and entered the tattoo parlour.
It’s believed nine shots were fired during the targeted shooting.
A 36-year-old Malvern man was then taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.
No one else was injured during the incident however the shots penetrated the building and entered businesses behind the shop.
One bullet entered a wall only centimetres from where an office worker often sat.
The three offenders left in the stolen Audi, which was located burnt out shortly afterwards on Robjant Street, Hampton Park.
It’s believed the three offenders then got into a black Jeep Wrangler.
Detectives have released an image of the vehicle in the hope someone has information about it being in the Hampton Park area around the time of the shooting.
Echo Taskforce investigators have also released footage showing the two men getting out of the stolen Audi in the hope someone recognises them or can provide further information about the shooting.
They are also keen to speak to anyone who has information regarding the driver of the stolen Audi.
Detectives believe the shooting is likely to be linked to internal conflicts within the Comacheros outlaw motorcycle gang.
They are also looking at whether other shootings are as a result of these conflicts, including one in Reservoir that occurred on 8 August last year.
