Fundraiser tops $3000 for cancer

By Brendan Rees

More than 100 people came together at TerryWhite Chemmart in Clyde for an afternoon tea event to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Australia on Friday, 23 February.
“One hundred per cent of the proceeds, including a $10 cover charge, donations and raffle prize money, were donated to Ovarian Cancer Australia,” said organiser and TerryWhite Chemmart Proprietor Carolyn Wynen.
Ms Wynen said the pharmacy was committed to working with Ovarian Cancer Australia and playing their part in the fight against ovarian cancer.
“We are immensely proud to have exceeded our goal this year, with our current tally sitting at $3199.81.”
Ms Wynen thanked the generous support of traders, Shopping on Clyde owners Ian and Jodie Mitchell, staff and proprietors at TerryWhite Chemmart Pharmacy, and the wonderful turnout from the community.
“This is such a worthy cause and we are extremely proud to make this one of our key fundraising goals each year and to give back to the community to help make someone else’s life just that little bit better,” she said,
