‘Absolute Legend’ Tag for Hania

By Brendan Rees

Cranbourne East’s Hania Tag has been awarded during Carer’s Week for her incredible contribution to the community.
Ms Tag said she was honoured to receive the ‘Absolute Legend Award.’
“Knowing you’re performing the best you know how and being recognised only encourages me to continue to do my best every time,” she said.
“I don’t feel like I’m a carer. I feel like I’m just here as a friend and someone to help. The people I care for sometimes help me, too. I’ve got several new recipes to try.”
Ms Tag said she loved to see her clients smile, particularly when they “ask you to come again because you did such a good job.”
As a carer for Absolute Care and Health Ms Tag said she enjoyed helping people across Victoria live their best life.
Currently studying a Bachelor of Nursing, she loves that caring enables her to work with people in the community.
“Hania is one of our treasured carers who never fails to receive glowing feedback from those she cares for,” Absolute Care and Health CEO Maria Deveson Crabbe said.
“Hania works hard to make the lives of others easier. She is an example of what care should be, personalisation, dedication and an understanding of helping people to live their best life,” Ms Crabbe said.
Absolute Care and Health wanted to recognise the critical role carers play to help people during Carer’s Week from 15-21 October.
“We need more carers, and more people like Hania to touch the lives of people in need, and help them find some joy in often challenging circumstances,” Ms Crabbe said.
