A light aircraft crash in Clyde North last week has left one man dead and one in a critical condition.
The plane came down in paddocks near the corner of Pound and Hardys Roads in Clyde North at about 10.40am on Thursday 3 August.
Emergency services were rushed to the scene, where it took crews just over an hour to free one of the men from the wreckage.
Both men were flown by air ambulances to the Alfred and Royal Melbourne Hospitals in critical condition.
Victoria Police confirmed a 19-year-old Chinese national died in hospital as a result of his injuries on Sunday 6 August.
A 25-year-old man from Newry, just outside of Maffra in the Gippsland area, remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
It is still unclear what caused the plane to fall from the sky and crash-land, but police and Recreation Aviation Australia say their investigation is ongoing.
Recreation Aviation Australia will also prepare a report for the Coroner.
