‘Goldilocks’ bandit was right at home

By Victoria Stone-Meadows

A 28-year-old Narre Warren man faced the Dandenong Magistrates Court on Monday 26 June after he was arrested for a ‘Goldilocks’ style burglary in Cranbourne North.
Police believe the man broke into a house on Hassett Lane on Wednesday 21 June, where he spent about five hours inside the property.
It is understood that while inside the house, the man helped himself to a bath, a shave, brushed his teeth, cooked noodles, had a go on the PlayStation and also performed a lewd act.
Before leaving the scene where he had made himself at home, the man proceeded to steal a number of small electrical items from the house.
He was arrested on Monday 26 June after members of the Casey Crime Investigation Unit released CCTV footage from the house.
The man is expected to face burglary and theft related offences.
