Fresh Words Young Writers Competition
Unleash the storyteller in you and enter the Fresh Words Young Writers Competition. If you are a budding author, journalist or song writer, embrace this opportunity to put your imagination on paper and win some great prizes. Entry is open to Casey’s young people in Grade 5 to Year 12 in the following categories:
- Creative Writing (maximum 750 words).
- Poetry/Lyrics (maximum one page).
- English as a additional language (maximum 750 words).
Entries close Friday 22 September, at 5pm.

Winter Arts Festival: Eco-dying in the garden at Paperworks Gallery
During this two-hour workshop you will learn eco-dyeing techniques and create some beautiful prints on paper and silk. Using natural dyes from the garden, you will create a beautiful silk scarf to take home. All materials, tea, coffee and a delicious morning tea all included. Emily’s Strive for Life Family Fun Day
