The Victorian road toll has risen with the tragic loss of a motorbike rider in Pearcedale over the weekend.
Police believe the rider lost control of his bike near the intersection of Pearcedale and Robinsons Roads at about 3.30pm on Saturday 27 May.
Road crash investigators surmise the male rider was thrown from his bike when he struck the kerb.
Emergency services attempted to resuscitate the man at the scene of the accident, but were unable to and he died at the scene.
No other vehicles or pedestrians were involved in the crash and the rider is yet to be formally identified.
The death of the motorbike rider brings the 2017 road toll to 101. At the same time last year, 119 people had been lost on our roads.
