Rude awakening

A young woman was awoken from a Sunday sleep in Cranbourne East over the weekend when an unknown man tried to break into her house.
The woman was asleep in a front room of the house on Stark Circuit, about 5.30pm, when she heard knocking on the front door that she ignored.
A short time later, she heard noises coming from the back of her property and upon investigation found a man trying to get into the house by breaking a window.
When the man saw someone was home and inside the house, he fled from the property over a side fence and made a getaway in a small blue hatchback car, along Haswell Street.
Police believe the getaway car was being driven by a female accomplice.
Casey Crime Investigation Unit is asking any witnesses contact Detective Senior Constable Brad Coller on 9705 3111.
