Arrest after search

THE discovery of an allegedly stolen vehicle in Pearcedale in the early hours of Friday 6 January has led to the arrest of a 24-year-old man.
Cranbourne police made the discovery after pulling over a vehicle with false number plates in a car park off Baxter-Tooradin Road at about 1.15am.
Upon speaking to the driver, police allegedly discovered a quantity of drugs including methamphetamines and cannabis, as well as stolen registration plates and two knives.
The young man is believed to have been charged with drugs and weapons related offences and appeared in the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court the same day.
