A CRANBOURNE West man has lost his hot wheels after he was caught driving dangerously more than 50km/h over the speed limit on Sunday.
Police officers saw the Holden Calais overtake another car on double lines on the Westernport Highway at Langwarrin South, about 8.45pm on 11 December.
Police clocked the car traveling at 155km/h before the car turned off the highway onto Victoria Road.
Upon searching the area, police found the car along with the driver parked behind a house on West Road.
The car was immediately impounded and the driver was breath tested – he returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.073.
Along with the towing cost of $1027, the driver is expected to be charged with unlicensed driving, driving an unregistered vehicle, speeding, the separate charges of driving at a dangerous speed and in a dangerous manner, drink driving and other traffic offences.
