Tricodes lights up the night

THE Cranbourne Racing Centre is gearing up to again host Australia’s busiest race meeting, the City of Casey Tricodes Night, on Saturday 19 November.
The night brings together the three racing codes for one action-packed night featuring thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing.
Renowned as the busiest race day in the country, there will be non-stop action in the space of five hours with 23 races to be held – eight greyhound, eight harness, and seven thoroughbred races.
Cranbourne Turf Club and Harness Club CEO Neil Bainbridge said the unique Tricodes event, which was now in its 15th year, was one of the most exciting and highly-anticipated events on the racing calendar.
“There really is no other race meeting in the world like Tricodes Night, with all three tracks lit up at the one venue and constant racing action throughout the night – it’s a racing enthusiast’s dream,” he said.
“Cranbourne is one of the few unique venues in this country that hosts all three codes and it’s great we’re able to bring them together for this event each year to showcase what’s great about Cranbourne.
“Racing plays a huge part in the City of Casey, with thousands of participants involved in the three codes as trainers, jockeys, drivers, owners, employees and enthusiasts.
“Tricodes is a great way to celebrate and showcase our industry participants and their sports and provide an outstanding night out that people of all ages can enjoy.
“There will also be plenty to enjoy trackside on the night, with great hospitality packages on offer, entertainment and children’s rides and activities, so come along and join in the fun.
Patrons can kick off the night early in the ‘Carlton Draught Enclosure’ with happy hour specials between 4-6pm, free finger food and live entertainment.
Entry to Tricodes is $15 for adults, concession $10 and kids are under 18 are free.
