Festival was a huge hit

By Victoria Stone-Meadows

THE first ever Casey Food and Wine Festival was held over the weekend of 5 November with visitors enjoying all the local produce and talent on display.
City of Casey Group Manager Active Communities James Rouse said about 500 people attended the festival that was held at the Old Cheese Factory in Berwick.
“Visitors enjoyed the opportunity to taste beer, cider, wine and local produce while listening to the live music in the fantastic surrounds of the Old Cheese Factory,” Mr Rouse said.
“Locally-made salami, chutneys, jams, cakes, desserts, sauces and spices were all popular purchases.”
While the festival had local and state-wide produce, there was also food and drink workshops and demonstrations as well as live music and entertainment.
Star News Photographer ROB CAREW went along to the festival to capture the great time had by those that attended.
