EMERGENCY services were called to a property in Cranbourne West after a car with a child on board smashed into a house.
The house on Evans Road was badly damaged after the blue 1998 model Holden sedan smashed into it just after 1pm on Wednesday 26 October.
Police believe the car was travelling east on Paramount Boulevard when it continued through the intersection at Evans Road, over the nature strip and into the house.
Police, ambulance, CFA and SES were all called in where they found an adult at the scene and a two-year-old child in the rear car seat.
Police said they believed that someone else in the car had fled the scene before they arrived.
Emergency services said there were no reports of injuries.
Any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
