A CAR fire on Pound Road in Clyde North has taken police a step closer to solving a ram raid on the Mornington Peninsular.
A silver or blue Nissan Patrol was found burnt out on Pound Road about 200 metres north of Thompsons Road at 3.35am on Saturday 24 September.
Police believe the car, which had stolen or false number plates, was used in a ram raid where an ATM was stolen earlier the same day.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
