POLICE have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a pursuit in Cranbourne North in the early hours of Thursday morning, 22 September.
Cranbourne police intercepted a stolen white Ford BA ute near the intersection of the South Gippsland Highway and Thompsons Road.
The driver, a 44-year-old Hampton Park man, was arrested at the scene on outstanding warrants.
During the arrest his 22-year-old passenger drove off and fled police.
Operations Response Unit police later sighted the ute on the South Gippsland Highway and engaged in a short low-speed pursuit before arresting the Cranbourne man at 4.20am near the intersection of Clyde Road and Five Ways Road.
A large amount of cash and drugs were found in the vehicle.
Investigators have appealed for a witness, believed to have been riding a large brown motorcycle, to come forward.
