Futile armed cash grab

IN an attempted armed robbery, a man rolled into a take-away food store in Cranbourne West on a razor scooter and produced a blade.
The unknown man left empty handed after demanding cash from the two staff members present.
The incident occurred around 8.45pm on Thursday 8 September at a store on Cranbourne-Frankston Road in Cranbourne West.
The male entered the store on a razor scooter and produced a small bladed weapon.
He left the store on the scooter.
The male was wearing a red hooded jumper and black tracksuit pants, and was described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged between 15 to 20 years old.
He was described as speaking with an Australian accent.
Police have released an image of the male taken from the store’s CCTV.
