Street Requiem

Voices of Casey and the School of Hard Knocks present Street Requiem. Street Requiem, conceived by the creator of the School of Hard Knocks, Dr Jonathon Welch, and composed in collaboration with Dr Kathleen McGuire and Andy Payne, aims to bring a sense of peace, remembrance and hope to many communities struggling to come to terms with street violence.
Street Requiem will be conducted by Dr Welch, and will feature local artists, soprano Christine Butt and tenor Izaac Lea, as soloists. Voices of Casey, will be joined by other choirs within the School of Hard Knocks family including the Latrobe Valley Community Choir, THECHO!R and the Sing The World choir.
Afternoon tea will follow.

  • Cranbourne Community Theatre, Saturday 20 August, 2pm. Tickets can be booked through the School of Hard Knocks website and are $25 adults/ $22 concession and under-16s.


California Dreaming

Audiences will take a trip down memory lane through the music and stories of the Mamas and the Papas. The show is 95 minutes with no interval.

Catch Me If You Can

Presented by Cardinia Performing Arts Company and based on the hit film and the incredible true story, Catch Me If You Can, is the high-flying musical comedy about chasing your dreams and not getting caught.

  • Gala opening night, Saturday 20 August. Also Sunday 21 August, at 2pm. Gala opening night tickets $35, children 15 and under $25. Gala includes post show supper and drinks.


Self publishing tips

Self publishing is being utilised more and more by both established and first-time authors. Learn from self published author Christopher D. Morgan about the options and processes involved in self-publishing.
Christopher will also share tips and techniques about the writing process and his journey in creating Portallas – a series of YA Fantasy/Adventure novels.

Sing up spring

Casey Choir’s annual Sing into Spring concert. Enjoy an eclectic repertoire of songs sung by an accomplished women’s choir. Enjoy songs from the shows, catchy folk songs, Celtic ballads and African gospel.

Cook with Dad

The Cook it with Dad program is an opportunity for fathers and children to experience cooking together. It is held every Saturday at the Selandra Family and Children’s Centre (during school terms).
