A DEVON Meadows teenager has won the highest award at scout level.
Teagan Taylor was awarded the Australian Scout Medallion in a special ceremony by the 1st Devon Meadows Scout Group.
At the awards night Teagan spoke of her desire to continue on her journey and set new goals to achieve the Queen’s Scout and Baden-Powell Scout awards.
With huge support from the Devon Meadows scout community, the venturer level graduate was overwhelmed with kind words from her peers.
Juliana Pearson from the scout group said: “Teagan’s achievement is a direct result of her tenacity, drive and willingness to accept challenges head on and push through.”
“In her journey Teagan has matured as a scout who visibly demonstrates the core values of the scouting movement and leadership skills of fairness, kindness and understanding amongst her peers.”
