Talk of the business world

STRENGTHENING businesses through conversation was the theme on Thursday night when the Casey Cardinia Business award nominees were announced.
Dozens of finalists were applauded at a cocktail function at Monash University, Berwick, and Casey Mayor Sam Aziz said it like he saw it.
“Tonight is about hearing from each other to strengthen economic viability of the whole region – one of the fastest growing in the state,” Cr Aziz said.
Cardinia Shire Mayor Jodie Owen echoed his thoughts, advising business owners to reflect on their systems and improve.
And it seems local businesses, Successful Endeavours Pty Ltd and Cranbourne Body Works have done just that – both taking home two nominations on the night.
Customers can still vote for their favourite businesses in the People’s Choice award. Participants may vote as many times as they like, but only once per business.
Voting closes on 12 August.
Award winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Friday 16 September.
